Track WordPress Websites

It’s easy to add Website Tracking to your WordPress site. You can use the WordPress plugin (using the steps below) and install the JavaScript code.

Steps to start tracking in Factoreal

  1. Install the “WP-Matomo” plugin in your WordPress.

 

  • click on “Install Now” next to the “WP-Matomo” plugin

  • Now that the plugin is successfully installed, click on “Activate”.
  1. In the left menu, click “Settings” > “WP-Matomo”.
  2. In the “Factoreal Mode” dropdown, select the option “Self-hosted (HTTP API, default)”.

  1. In the “Website Analytics URL” text field, enter your Website Analytics URL, for example https://analytics.example.com.
  2. In the “Auth token” text field, enter your Factoreal authentication token.
  3. Confirm the “Auto config” checkbox is selected and click on “Save Changes”.
  4. You should see “WP-Matomo is successfully connected to Factoreal” message. If you do not see the message, make sure the values you provided in the previous steps are correct, and try again.
  5. Click on the “Enable Tracking” tab.
  6. In the “Add tracking code” dropdown, select “Enter manually” and add the copied tracking script.

  1. Click on “Save Changes” and a success message will appear.
