Contact Engagement Rules

Factoreal gives you the opportunity to define rules of engagement for your contacts. There are 3 primary categories of this, which are also among the most common. To configure the rules, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Rules Setup.
  3. Click Engagement Rules.
  4. Here are the 3 configurable engagement rules – 1) Inactive Contacts; 2) Abandoned Cart & 3) DND.
  5. Click Configuration next to Inactive Contacts.
  6. Set the period of inactivity after which a contact can be marked to be inactive.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Configuration next to Abandoned Cart.
  9. Set the number of hours after which a product added to cart without purchase can be considered abandoned.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click Configuration next to DND.
  12. Click Configure in the Email card.
  13. Select the contact list/ audience segment/ individual contact that you want to put in the Email DND list.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Click Configure in the SMS card.
  16. Select the contact list/ audience segment/ individual contact that you want to put in the SMS DND list.
  17. Click Save.
